President Keh Presents Flags to 11 Summer Service Teams, Urging Students to Learn by Doing and Promote the Common Good
The Extracurricular Activities Guidance Section of Tamkang University held the 2025 Summer Service-Learning Team Flag Presentation Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on July 1 in the Student Activity Center. The event was attended by President Huan-Chao Keh, Vice President for Administrative Affairs Chun-Hung Lin, Vice President for International Affairs Hsiao-Chuan Chen, as well as deans, directors, and senior administrators from across the University. This year, 11 service teams comprising nearly 110 students will participate in community service activities. Among them, eight teams, including the Taekwondo Club, Computer Hardware Study Club, and Tamkang Rotaract Club, will organize service camps throughout Taiwan. Meanwhile, the GSIP Global Service Internship Team from the Department of Global Politics and Economics, the Cambodia Service-Learning Team organized by the Extracurricular Activities Guidance Section, and the "Econ Explorer" team from the Department of Economics will undertake international volunteer service projects in Malaysia and Thailand, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka, respectively.

Tamkang University’s New Cybersecurity Program Delivers Strong Results, Set to Expand Talent Development
To address the growing cybersecurity challenges brought about by artificial intelligence and digital transformation, Tamkang University's Department of Information Management, in collaboration with Far EasTone Telecommunications (FETnet) and Information Security Service Digital United (ISSDU), has launched the practice-oriented New Information Security Program. After three years of development, the program has established a comprehensive teaching framework that integrates industry co-teaching, hands-on training platforms, corporate visits, and talent cultivation, creating a cybersecurity education model that combines academic rigor with practical experience. Beginning in the 2026 academic year, the program will be expanded from an elective within the Department of Information Management to a college-wide elective offered by the College of Business and Management, allowing students from across the college to enroll. Enrollment is expected to increase from approximately 70 to 120 students, cultivating a larger pool of interdisciplinary talent equipped with cybersecurity expertise.
